Engineer measuring supply airflow at a ceiling diffuser during restaurant commissioning

Working with us

How does a project start?

Message us on WhatsApp with the venue type, location and stage. We ask a few questions, then arrange a free survey on site or a review of your drawings, and send an estimate.

What do you need from us for an estimate?

A floor plan with ceiling heights, the kitchen equipment list and menu type, and photos of the site or the existing systems. See contact for the full list.

Can you work with our architect, designer or general contractor?

Yes. We coordinate our systems with the architecture in Revit and agree details with the designer and the builder.

How is payment arranged?

In stages tied to the work: design, supply, installation, commissioning. The schedule is written into the contract before work starts.

What do we receive at handover?

As-built drawings, equipment settings and commissioning results, useful for the SLF inspection and for your operator.

Technical basics

What is make-up air?

Outdoor air supplied to replace the air a kitchen hood removes. Without it, the kitchen pulls air from the dining room and doors, and smoke escapes the hood. See air balance.

What does PK mean for air conditioning?

PK is the Indonesian way of saying horsepower for AC capacity; one PK is about 9,000 BTU per hour of cooling. The number you need comes from a load calculation, not only from room size.

Why is a kitchen hot even with a strong exhaust?

Because the make-up air is missing, hot or badly placed, and because cooking lines radiate heat. More exhaust alone often makes it worse.

Do ducts and fans rust near the sea?

Outdoor galvanized steel degrades faster in salty coastal air. We specify stainless or protected materials for exposed parts on coastal sites.

Do we need an engineer for a small café?

For the kitchen exhaust and the power connection, yes: a small hood placed wrong still smokes, and a small connection still trips.

Prices

Why do quotes from different contractors differ so much?

Usually because the scope differs: make-up air, balancing, commissioning, duct material and access are often left out of the cheaper quote.

Can you work within a fixed budget?

Yes. We show options with ranges at concept stage and design to the one you choose.

Where can I see indicative prices?

On the pricing page, or run the exhaust calculator for your kitchen.

Write it in your own words

A new restaurant, a kitchen that smokes, a hotel that needs air conditioning, a villa complex at design stage: a few lines are enough to start.
