Water treatment in Bali that protects the kitchen equipment
Scale inside a boiler or a steam generator is one of the most common reasons expensive kitchen equipment breaks. We test the water and design the treatment each machine needs, before it is connected.

Why scale is a kitchen problem, not a taste problem
Hard water leaves minerals wherever it is heated. In an espresso machine the scale narrows pipes and insulates the heating element until it overheats; in a combi oven it coats the steam generator; in a dishwasher it dulls glasses and clogs nozzles. Manufacturers publish water requirements for their equipment and expect them to be met.
Too soft is also wrong: very low mineral content can be aggressive to metals and gives flat-tasting coffee. So we do not install one filter for everything. We test the water and treat each line for the machine it feeds.

Part of the plumbing design
Treatment units need space, drains for regeneration or reject water, and valves for service. We place them in the plumbing design so cartridges can be changed without moving the bar. For hotels and residences we treat the incoming water as well; at Anta Residence Canggu our scope included a water treatment system together with the other MEP systems. Is Bali water hard?
It varies by source: wells, PDAM supply and trucked water differ. That is why we test before choosing the treatment.
One filter for the whole kitchen?
Rarely right. Coffee, steam equipment and dishwashers need different treatment.
Do I need reverse osmosis?
Only where the water or the equipment requires it; it wastes some water and needs remineralisation for coffee.
Who changes the cartridges?
Your staff or our maintenance team, on a schedule we set at installation.
