401M-401Stainless steel fabrication

Custom stainless steel hoods and interior structures

A hood is an engineering part, not furniture: its size, overhang, filters and connection decide how well it captures smoke. We fabricate hoods, duct sections and stainless interior structures to the design, then install them.

  • Hoods made to the airflow design and the cooking line
  • Baffle filters, grease gutters and access for cleaning
  • Stainless interior structures for open kitchens and bars
  • Delivered for Optimist and Kala restaurants

Why a catalogue hood often underperforms

Standard hoods come in standard sizes. Cooking lines do not. A hood that ends flush with the last burner, or that sits too high over a charcoal grill, lets part of the plume escape no matter how strong the fan is. Open kitchens make it visible: the hood is part of the interior, so it has to fit the design and still capture.

What we make

  • Wall, island and back-shelf hoods sized to the line, with the overhang the design requires.
  • Baffle filter housings, grease gutters and drain points.
  • Stainless duct sections for grease exhaust and exposed runs near the sea.
  • Interior structures for open kitchens, bars and passes, as we did for Optimist and Kala restaurants.
Engineering first

Every hood we make starts from the kitchen exhaust design: airflow, capture and duct connection come first, shape and finish second.

Have a kitchen layout?

Send it with the equipment list and the ceiling height; we come back with hood options and a budget.

Material near the coast

In salty coastal air, plain steel and galvanised parts outdoors degrade faster. For exposed ducts, roof parts and hoods in open-air kitchens we specify stainless grades suited to the site, and we say where a cheaper option is fine indoors.

Questions

Questions owners ask us

Can you make a hood to our interior designer's drawing?

Yes, if it still meets the airflow and capture requirements; we adjust dimensions where needed and explain why.

Do you install what you fabricate?

Yes, together with the duct, fan and make-up air.

Which stainless grade do you use?

It depends on location and use; exposed and coastal parts need a more corrosion-resistant grade than indoor covers.

How long does fabrication take?

It depends on size and workload; we give dates in the estimate.

Write it in your own words

A new restaurant, a kitchen that smokes, a hotel that needs air conditioning, a villa complex at design stage: a few lines are enough to start.
